South from Granada is a series of valleys known as The Alpujarras . Formerly poor and remote they now attract tourists to the mountain villages with their distinctive architecture and relaxed way of life. We visited the area recently, staying in Capileira, and the notes of our visit to The Alpujarras have now been added to the Go to Spain with Ted page.
